I’ve ordered seven samples from Lane Seven: three tees and four hoodies, all in large. It gives me another set of garments to get my hands on and compare as I work out what will suit Hourworn.
The tees are the Urban Heavy Tee in black, the Heavy Core Tee in cream and the Element Tee in black.
For hoodies, I’ve chosen the Urban Garment Dyed Hoodie in Pigment Lunar Rock, the Heavy Core Hoodie in cream, the Element Hoodie in bone and the Thermal Hoodie in Dove Grey.
Lane Seven plans to ship the order Wednesday, September 16. I’ll share photos and first impressions once the samples are here.
I want to feel the fabrics, try the fit and look closely at the collars, cuffs and seams. Then, as I get the printing setup ready, I’ll use the heat press to test how the artwork looks and feels on the garments. Wearing and washing the samples will help me decide which ones hold up.
With Zuni on the way and SanMar samples already ordered, there’s more to compare. BTSA is next on my list. The goal is still the same: find a shirt or hoodie you like wearing as much as the artwork on it.
